What I Believe about Money...
I've been re-reading several books on money/wealth from my library and I came across some information on the costs and benefits of wealth accumulation. I can't find the original source but here's a brief summary of it's contents which form the foundation of my thinking regarding about money and it's effects on my family:
Wealth Vs. Worth?
- There is a difference between Wealth and Worth.
- My primary leadership goal is to cultivate the worth of my family, independent of our wealth.
- Our worth is defined by our integrity, intelligence, creativity, and the capacity to love (serve) others.
- Our worth is independent of our wealth, but it can be diminished by poverty.
- Our leadership impact can be amplified by a larger bank balance.
- Every dollar acquired or experienced at a cost to my worth is a bad investment.
- Every unit of wealth is simply a unit of energy, like food or fuel, that can be used to contribute to either the growth or destruction of any given life form -- animal, vegetable, human, corporate, cultural, national, international, or even global.
- Good investment is the kind that enhances both wealth and worth.
- The leadership impact of my life will be gauged not by what I had but by what I gave.
These are the things that I believe about being wealthy. It's about increasing my ability to have an worthy impact on my family both today and tomorrow.

P.S. I use and truly believe in the resources that I mention in this article! Very simply, I recommend them because they work! -- I do receive a commission when you click on one of the links to their site -- It's a nice bonus for telling you the truth and spreading the word about products and resources that improve families by improving leaders.
