An Open Letter to "The Boy"!
Our Prayer for You!
Hi,
I said a prayer as I thought about you last Sunday morning.
I wondered where you were and what you might be doing.
My sincere apologies for calling you "the boy" but I don't know your name yet so when I pray for you, that's what I call you.
So, back to Sunday morning.......Your future mother-in-law and I went up in front of our church with Victoria and stood with her as she publicly made the following pledge...........
"In the sight of Almighty God, I promise in the power of the Holy Spirit to maintain moral purity by abstaining from seksual immorality and by giving Christ first place in everything."
(Misspelling intentional)
As she stood there in front of the church, holding my hand I teared up a bit thinking about the day when I'll have to put her hand into your hand and then step back and.........
Anyway, here is my prayer for you.
"Hey God!
About the boy,
I ask that he may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
I ask that he walk worthy of you Lord,
Fully pleasing You,
Being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You;
Strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power,
For all patience and long suffering with joy;
Amen
I love ya already kid -- Stay strong!"Dad"
P.S. I'd like for you to start developing yourself into the kind of man that a girl like Tori deserves.
