  1. Re-write your lists -- Regularly re-evaluate your list of priorities. As your family grows and changes so will your priorities so don't get stuck in the rut of predictability.

  2. Rate your friends -- Regularly evaluate your relationships and eliminate those that are negative and take excessive time away from your family. Intentionally strengthen those relationships that will add value to both you and your family

  3. Don't watch! -- Severely limit or completely eliminate your television time.

  4. Table it -- Eat at least one meal a day at the table with your complete family. Don't ruin this by being demanding or controlling. Use games, questions, stories, etc to make it exciting!

  5. Learn to say NO! -- It's hard, but sometimes you may be turning away something good for something better.

  6. Go to church -- Get re-focused often on the larger story of life and the specific role you and your family play within it.

  7. Travel in a group -- Build your vacations and trips around your family. Don't take separate vacations if at all possible

  8. Protect your calendar -- Treat every hour as if it were a Crown Jewel. There will always be something around to take your time if you let it.

  9. Get Organized -- Try to have a place for everything and try to keep it there. This is easier said than done, but always a worthwhile goal

  10. Crack the whip! -- Remember that time is a much better slave than a master

  11. Work at your Passion -- Find a job that lights your fire and makes your family a priority, -- the money will come
